Cowork now computes in the cloud. AWS Quick migrates agents cleanly. AI helps with breast cancer
Today with two quick architecture changes for your day-to-day and one health update with clear limits.
Key AI news
Anthropic moves Cowork compute to the cloud
The new Cowork version runs model inference and the previously local VM in the cloud. Each session runs in its own sandbox context. If the VM should access files on your device, the desktop app mediates that via a tool call. This eases battery and CPU and keeps work going even when you close the laptop. Your takeaway: check which data leaves your device and match that with your processing rules. The statements come from Felix Rieseberg, Anthropic.1
Amazon Quick: automatically migrate resources between accounts with checks
AWS shows a Quick Resource Migrator as an MCP server on Bedrock AgentCore. It transfers agents, action connectors, knowledge bases, flows, and spaces between development, QA, and production accounts. The flow is idempotent. It creates versioned backups in S3 before updates and offers a read-only preview. Rights are read via Describe*Permissions and mirrored in the target. Secrets are not carried over. Documents of an S3 knowledge base are not copied. Flows are matched by name. This is available as sample code and lets you replace manual rebuilds.2
Breast cancer: AI tools from capture to plan
iSono Health’s ATUSA is an FDA-cleared, wearable 3D ultrasound system. It captures a standardized volume per breast in about two minutes and delivers 28 percent higher sensitivity than 2D handheld ultrasound, according to the vendor. The system is available in partner clinics in California, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Washington, D.C. The figure is based on vendor data. A multicenter study with 3,200 patients is running.3
Whiterabbit.ai uses WRDensity, an FDA-cleared density measurement, and is developing further screening AI that could auto triage negatives. Training runs on NVIDIA GPUs in St. Louis. Inference runs on GPUs in the clinic. The goal: more hits, fewer unnecessary callbacks. Concrete field performance numbers are missing here.3
Ataraxis AI uses digital pathology to predict therapy response. This is research operations, not a clinical application. The models are retrained continuously with additional study data.3
OpenAI sketches watermarking for EU text provenance
OpenAI describes where watermarking for text applies, how detection works, and that access to detection starts with researchers. Your takeaway: if you publish AI text in EU contexts, align labeling, detection path, and responsibilities with legal and compliance. Details on breadth of application come from the vendor.4
Highlights for your daily work
-
Cross-account promotion in AWS Quick without copy paste: set up the Quick Resource Migrator and start with a preview on a space in your staging account. Then migrate agents and linked resources as an upsert to production. Reauthenticate secrets in the target. Documents stay in the source S3.2
-
Keep subscription costs in check: SemiAnalysis shows that the value of your Claude or OpenAI subscription depends heavily on model and token type. Vendors can also quietly tune limits via credits. The concrete ranges are their measurements. Your takeaway: map your most common workloads to token types and check monthly if the plan value still fits.5
-
Cheaper models in your existing coding agent: Together Link connects open frontier models like GLM 5.3 or Kimi K3 into your existing harness. The vendor promises over 50 percent lower model costs. Start with a small repo task and compare quality and runtime.6
Tools and updates
-
Replit x TikTok Ads MCP: manage TikTok ads directly from Replit. Requirement: TikTok Ads account. Useful for quick tests from the workspace.7
-
Kandinsky 6.0 Video (paper): generates 5 second clips with synchronized 44 kHz audio and full HD superresolution. Suits concept videos. The status is a research model.8
-
DeepMind SynthID Bio: proof of concept for watermarking AI generated proteins with preserved function. Relevant for labs with biosecurity requirements, not for production.9
Try in five minutes
Create a mini DPIA memo on Cowork Cloud
1) Open your AI chat tool. Goal: a 7 point memo for IT security and privacy. 2) Provide these facts as bullets: Cowork now computes and runs the VM in the cloud. Each session is its own sandbox context. File access from the user device runs via the desktop app with a tool call. Work keeps running when the device is closed. Benefit: lower local battery and CPU load. Ask for data flows, risks, open questions.1 3) Ask for a compact memo plus a list of 6 questions to the vendor on hosting region, logging, retention, encryption, support access, and emergency shutdown.
Expected result: a clearly structured memo with data flows, safeguards, and open points. Checkpoint: the memo names cloud hosting, session isolation, path for file access, background running, log access and retention, plus concrete follow up questions.1
A good find
Import AI summarizes agent swarms. Multiple agents in parallel save time on urgent tasks but cost more tokens overall. The benefit drops as the swarm grows. The terms are diminishing returns and stepping on toes. Use case for you: split urgent review tasks into independent pieces and let two to four agents run in parallel when wall time matters.10
