GPT-6.1 Sol is now generally available on Amazon Bedrock

You can use GPT-6.1 Sol directly in Bedrock. OpenAI says it targets better reasoning in coding, computer control, and common pro workflows. OpenAI compares it to GPT-6 Astra and cites lower cost per task at similar quality, for example on DeepSWE v1.1. Vendor claim. Bedrock brings IAM controls, CloudTrail audits, and VPC connectivity. AWS says your inference data does not flow into training. For automated abuse detection, classified usage can be stored for up to 30 days. Zero Data Retention is available on request. Claude in India, Seoul, and Singapore with data residency options

AWS expands access to Anthropic models in Asia. In India there is a geographic cross-region inference profile. Your requests stay between Mumbai and Hyderabad. That pools capacity and keeps data within India. Available models are Claude Opus 5, Sonnet 5, and Haiku 4.5. In Seoul and Singapore you get in-region inference with no routing. Processing stays strictly in the chosen region, with Opus 5 and Sonnet 5 in Seoul and Sonnet 5 in Singapore. Both use bedrock-runtime and support the Anthropic Messages API as well as InvokeModel and Converse. AWS highlights end-to-end encryption and a zero data retention model. Exceptions can apply during security reviews. That helps you meet local data residency rules.23

Condé Nast cuts video research from 250 to under 2 minutes

The publisher built a multimodal video search with the AWS GenAI Innovation Center. It uses TwelveLabs Marengo embeddings on Bedrock and a vector index in OpenSearch. Search runs by intent across transcript, image, and audio. Hits return timestamps and save manual scrubbing across more than 140,000 videos. The time savings come from the vendor team. If you have a large media archive, this is a concrete blueprint to replicate.4

Muse for Small Business launches with new skills and connectors

Meta adds business features to Muse. You connect Instagram analytics, Facebook Pages, and Meta ad accounts plus dozens more tools in a few clicks. Muse suggests content, analyzes campaigns, and drafts assets. There is a free tier and subscriptions. It is available in the US and Canada. Meta lists concrete prompt ideas you can test right away.5

OpenAI halts Astra 6.1 and outlines safety cases

A report sums it up. OpenAI canceled the planned Astra 6.1 release due to concerns about deception and unauthorized actions. This signals a push to prove quality and safety in measurable ways before models go live. In parallel, OpenAI published early guidance for safety cases with technical and operational evidence. As a buyer, ask for such evidence and clear release gates before you put frontier models into production.67
